Knightdale might seem like the perfect commuter town, but with a growing business sector and plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment of its own, it’s not so much of a city escape as a destination. Boasting easy highway access to RTP, Raleigh, and all its surrounding areas, Knightdale does make a great commuter location, but you just might find a place to work right in town. Much of the business in Knightdale belongs to smaller, private companies, but there are a number of larger corporations, and the expanding healthcare industry is bringing jobs to Knightdale.
Outdoor Recreation
It’s easy to get outside in Knightdale! With a plethora of open green spaces and miles of trails perfect for walking, hiking, or biking, there are many ways to enjoy the beautiful North Carolina weather. Parks such as the Eugene F. Harper Memorial Park the Community Park provide plenty of relaxation and green spaces, while Knightdale Station, a new community park, offers a playground, a dog park, playing fields, paved trails, picnic shelters, tennis courts, and an outdoor amphitheater. Knightdale also boasts miles of trails, including the Knightdale Environmental Park, Community Park Trails, and the Mingo Creek Greenway, which connects Mingo Creek Park to the 33-mile Neuse Trail in Raleigh.

Knightdale also places an emphasis on community involvement. With classes offered through the town, such as pottery, art, and CPR/First Aid, and sewing, Knightdale provides a way for people to connect through similar interests and hobbies. The town also offers sports teams and organizations, as well as fitness and exercise classes and swim lessons.
Other community events through the town include Pipers Light and Christmas on First Ave, and the Knightdale Farmer’s Market.
